LASA will be bringing back our Handaan event series on Friday, 9/13/19. We are very honored to cook alongside two extremely inspiring international Filipinx chefs. For our 2nd iteration of Handaan we will be hosting Chef Ross Magnaye of Rice Paper Sister (Australia) & Chef Jordy Navarra of TOYO EATERY (Philippines) for a very special one-night only 7 course tasting menu. Expect a celebration inspired by progressive Filipinx flavors. Tickets are $120 (plus taxes, gratuities and fees). A curated wine list will be available.

Thank you for all the love for our Handaan event!

Chef Jordy opened TOYO Eatery in March 2016 serving heightened Filipino dishes using local ingredients and is a reflection of Navarra's heritage, memories, training and experience. Chef previously trained at the Fat Duck in UK and Bo Innovation in Hong Kong. TOYO was awarded the 43rd place on the list of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, making it the best restaurant in the Philippines of 2019. We are excited to share TOYO's influential progressive Pinoy cuisine.

Chef Ross Magnaye of Rice Paper Scissors taps into his Filipino heritage to recreate flavors from his childhood, infusing them with elements of southeast Asian cuisine from his extensive travels. Chef has spent time cooking in Brazil at DOM, under Chef Alex Atala as well as Aziamendi in Thailand under Chef Eneko Atxa. The Melbourne food scene has dubbed him the king of collaborations, and he has both hosted and been a part of some incredible dinners. He has even collaborated with our Filipinx sisters, Tatiana & Katia Levha, at Le Servan in Paris. We are excited to share his experience of Filipino Australian flavors.
